Description
The painting shows typical measurement activities of the 16th century. Two figures are measuring grain, while in the background surveying, gauging and weighing are being practised.In the foreground there is the measuring of cloth, the making of sundials and the teaching of music. Scattered on the ground are various mathematical instruments and tools.
