Description
Square leather-covered case. Circular inset in base for ?compass bowl 48 mm in diameter, with three lobes (for attachment screws?). Depression in lid 62 x 60 mm, with triangular inset, presumably for gnomon. The case has no hinge, but is connected by the leather, it also has a copper alloy swing clasp.
