Description

A cylindrical, copper alloy housing stands on a brass ring. The sides of the housing are cut away to allow access to the stage and light to the concave mirror below it. The circular stage consists of two rings. It has a recessed stage hole and two pinholes. Horizontal slots in the housing allow sliders to be positioned between the rings, held in place by a steel spring. The body tube has an eyepiece with two lenses and an internal thread for objectives at the lower end. It pushes into a cylinder in the housing that is moved by a rack and pinion for focusing. The accessories with this microscope are seven objectives, an objective in a Lieberkühn, a bull's-eye lens, a glass phial, a live box, a copper alloy dish with a glass bottom, copper alloy forceps, stage forceps, a lens in a copper alloy setting and a bone slider. A glass disk without magnification and a single simple aperture. The fitted wooden box has red velvet padding in the lid.
