A wood-framed lantern cog-wheel turning mechanism lantern slide. The slide is labelled: "No. 9 The Diagram shows the various Eclipses of the Sun with the transit of Venus". The image is painted onto a circular glass panel. The mechanism is attached to the slide with 6 metal screws. The front of the slide is labelled "No. 17".
