Description
Modified slipper slide frame by Newton with home-made blackened glass with scratched lines. Wooden frame encases two pieces of glass to create a sliding type magic lantern slide. The top of the frame is stamped .."NEWTON"(? - part of this is obscured) @ FLEET ST, TEMPLE BAR, LONDON" The top is also inscribed: "30831 Eclipse of the Moon". Both pieces of the photographic glass slide are encased on either side with tape and card. 2 pieces of tape are attached to the sides of one of the pieces of glass to enable it to slide.
