Description
A wood-framed lantern slide of both single rackwork and slipping type. A painted image on the glass depicts a man lying in bed with a cat outside the window. When the handle is turned rats jump into his mouth and when the glass is moved his mouth shuts/opens. On one edge of the frame is inscribed G/- and 12/6. 7 brass alloy screws hold the mechanism in place. A metal pin stops the glass from touching the wood at the bottom.
