Description

Standard brown, board box covered in brown tape. Lift-off lid reveals 40 glass slides wrapped in tissue, containing various plant, small animal, and animal organ specimens, which include a bee fly, a house spider, a sheep tendon, fungus, leaves and poppy seeds. Box contains a pair of letters, both dated to 1990, one from RMS and one from R. Bridges, Director of Searle & Co. Inscription in marker on lid. Some of the slides have labels dating to 1867. Names listed on some of slides are: Watson & Son, Ross London and Mr. M.C.  Cooke.
