Description
Mahogany base with central paper magnetic compass scale with large cotton-coated vertical coil, copper alloy rod support for suspending the magnetic needle system (missing), under a glass dome. Two mercury contacts. Base with glued paper label with '10 Galvanometer' written in 19th century hand. Looks home or laboratory made.
