Description
Microscope opaque specimens in case, 19th century. The object consists of nineteen 12mm discs and a small black cylinder that have various organic and mineralogical specimens including a feather and a green insect. They are all mounted on steel pins and stuck into the cork base of the case, which is a shallow wooden and cardboard box with a hinged lid, a hook fastener and a cream coloured silk lining on the underside of the lid.
