Description
Gelatine glass negative, early type, thick Astronomical photograph of an unidentified area of stars, taken at the University Observatory, Oxford. One of the stars on the plate has been circled by hand. Negative is a companion of a second negative in the Museum's collection (Inv. 68946). An early example of a dry plate, dated to October 22nd 1887.
