Description

Wooden box containing 42 miscellaneous lantern slides. There is a set of 28 slides sitting loose in the box. They include photographic negatives from African expeditions that show European explorers in Africa, native tribes, trees, huts, tents, vehicles, African animals and one of a dog and a lion cub. Two slides are contained in a patterned green box with no lid. One shows a graph and the other has a photographic negative of a science laboratory. Twelve slides are contained in brown paper packaging and have four photographic negatives of African native tribes, one of a man in an early deep-sea diving suit and seven of microbiology under a microscope.
