Box Containing One Glass Negative

Cardboard box containing a single glass negative. The negative

plate is said to be a reproduction of a letter from Nicholas Copernicus. Dated

MDXIV (1514) at the bottom. Written on cardboard box lid: “GLASS PLATE NEGATIVE

OF LETTER FROM NICHOLAS COPERNICUS (Taken by ultra-violet light Bodleian,

Nov.1954]) The original letter is in the Museum of the History of Science,

Oxford (ref. MS Museum 16)”
