Description
Set of 13-inch reflector eyepieces for the De La Rue Telescope, consisting of 13eyepieces , 6 adaptors and 1 micrometre.
Following Eyepieces Present: Single Cross-bar: low power lens (A); Low power (B); Magazine of 7 lenses (F); Magazine of 7 lenses (G); Small Eyesight (I); Luner eyepiece with pointer (power 100) (J); Power 142 lens with no dark sun glass (K); Power 209 lens with dark sun glass (L); Power 300 with dark sun glass (O)High Power 640 lens with dark sun glass (Q); two dark sun glasses (M, N); Diagonal solar eyepiece (U).
Following Micrometre Present: Comet Work Ring Micrometre (D).
Following adaptors present: Adaptor for photographic use (R); small ring adapter (C); adaptor for course thread smaller eyepieces (C); three further copper alloy adaptors (S,T).
Eyepieces and adaptors are stored in a mahogany box with inbuilt felt lined supports for eyepieces. Case has a removable tray which holds majority of eyepieces. Box has inlaid copper alloy plaque on its lid (plaque not engraved), and inlaid key hole in same style as plaque. Metal handles are held in recesses on either side of box.
