Transformer of Microscope Lamp, or of Projection/School Microscope?

Transformer in metal case which is part of a Projection or School Microscope. Case has an on/off switch and rotating dial on one side. A plastic coated wire and a red fabric coated wire extend from either side of the case. Wires extend from two boxes attached to either side of case. Each box is lined with circular and square holes.
