Description

Wooden box with leather strap. Contains 114 3¼-inch square glass lantern slides for lectures on 'Science and Social Research' (and earlier titles) by Sir Julian Huxley. The main sequence has the titles 'Science & Society' and 'Sci. Res. Soc. Needs, JSH' on the slides themselves. They are mostly copies of photographs and illustrations, but include two handwritten diagrams. A scrap paper is inscribed 'Race', but only the first 24 slides relate to this topic.
