Description

Transmitter Type AD87B (pre-development version of Transmitter T1154), as designed and manufactured by the Marconi Company. Commonly used with the R1155 Receiver. Receiver Type AD.87B (Bomber Command version) in black crinkle-finish steel case, with coloured dials, glass-fronted displays with wavelength calibration table on front vertical surface. Displays are half-moon scales with needles and display mag. feed and a.e. amps respectively. Coloured dials include three for VFO, three for aerial coupling controls. Smaller knobs operates channel selection mechanism (7 channels), and the band change switch. With earth, h.f. aerial and m.f. aerial plug sockets on side. Previously catalogued with Marconi Receiver Type AD8882B (Inv. Num. 27685), Receiver Type R1155A (Inv. Num. 68465).
