Description

Osram Triode Radio Valve Type R, example of early Type R; probably produced in late WW1. Made by Osram before the formation of Marconi-Osram Valves in 1919. Cylindrical anode threaded by helical grid within which passes single strand of Tungsten wire as filament. In use filament would burn brightly just like a light bulb. With brass? base and steel base pins. Previously catalogued with three other Type R Radio Valves (Inv. Num.s 94475, 22908, 82041).
