Description

Part of the W. & S. Jones electrostatic cabinet. Insulating stand has wooden circular base and top connected by a cylindrical glass leg. The Leyden jar is a large cylindrical glass jar with the lower half covered in tin foil on the interior and exterior. It has a wooden lid with two cork pieces on the inside and a copper alloy rod and ball above connected to a copper alloy chain that dangles down the centre of the jar.
