Description

Assorted Early Coherer-Related Letters. Including a letter from J. Cave (of the Coherer Dept. at Chelmsford), February 12th 1905 listing the numbers of ten coherers and reporting on the performance of others (3pp, als); five pages of pencilled lists of coherer serial numbers with comments on performance; and a note on H.M.S. Vernon paper, listing three tubes taken to Hicks (Hatton Garden, hydrometer maker) with their numbers and comments on performace in red (n.d). Previously catalogued with other bone coherer support rod (Inv. Num. 87538), other bone coherer support rod (Inv. Num. 72278), pillbox with spare parts (Inv. Num. 50538), cluster of six small glass tubes (Inv. Num. 80963), a brass-tipped bone stylus (Inv. Num. 82611).
