Description

Large Iolanda Transformer in varnished mahogany case. With black-painted steel handles and metal alloy & brass terminals upon case surface. With some terminals also connected with copper wires, others are connected with insulated metal connectors (see Inv. Num. 79425). With light-coloured circular wooden knob (possibly maple or sycamore) upon upper surface of case. Missing additional copper linking roods shown in original Science Museum photograph (1959). Case slightly damaged and well-used. On display, and currently used, with Assorted Copper Busbars And Ebonite Insulators (Inv. Num. 79425).
