Provenance
Transferred from the University Laboratory of Physiology, Oxford, in 2005, per Professor David Paterson. Part of the J. G. Thomas Collection of neurophysiology instruments, presented to the University by Dr Edward J. Hammond in 2004. Dr Hammond purchased the collection from a dealer after it had been auctioned, presumably by the heirs or executors of Dr John G. Thomas, who had rescued it when the Physiology Institute, Cardiff, moved to new premises in 1970. The instruments were originally used there by T. Graham Brown, professor of physiology at Cardiff 1920-47.

Description

Oak case with sealable glass window with meter on front, brass coil on side, door with cloth to open on back. Inisde painted black with a steel lift for a plate. Two pieces cracked inside.
