Description

Copper alloy microscope made to the pattern of Louis F. Dellebarre. The square sectioned pillar stands on a hinged tripod base. A hinge in the pillar allows the upper section to be tilted. The plano-concave mirror and condensing lens are mounted on sliding sleeves. The circular stage is set on a sleeve that can be racked up and down to focus. A socket at the top of the pillar takes a bracket into which an arm pushes. A split ring on the end of the arm holds the body tube. The body has three lenses set close together near the eyecup, which has a screw on dust cover. At the lower end of the body, the nose has an external thread to take accessories and an internal thread for the objectives. The mahogany case is lined with green felt.
