Description

Black coated metal binocular microscope. The curved limb is carried on trunnions and a locking lever holds the inclination. The stage is mechanical and is held in a dovetail slot, with tightening screws, at the lower end of the limb. It moves on a rack and pinion and has a removable circular stage plate. A rack and pinion at the upper end of the limb caries a housing on which the optical components are mounted. The eyepieces push into tubes in the binocular head. These slide to adjust the inter-ocular distance and the right hand eyepiece can be focused independently. The objective screws into a bracket that is held in place by a locking lever, there are two spare objective brackets with the microscope. The microscope comes with a lockable wooden carrying case.
