Description

Compound Microscope with Accessories and Case. The copper alloy pillar stands in a socket on the box base. A scrolled strut is attached to the socket. A copper alloy ring on an arm, attached to the top of the pillar, supports the body tube. The arm is held by a sleeve that slides on the pillar for coarse focusing. A vertical screw adjusts the fine focus. The body has an eyepiece with a sliding dust cover and the lower, narrow end of the body has an external thread to take objectives. The cruciform stage has a keyhole slot and a pin hole for accessories. Two spring clips, shaped to hold glass phials, are attached to the underside of the stage. The accessories are six objectives, a fishplate, a live box, a cone condenser, a Lieberkühn and a Lieberkühn carrier, a bull's-eye lens, copper alloy forceps and two copper alloy rings.
