Description

Falling-drum water clock, French, early 19th century. Unsigned.

Pewter drum, suspended in wooden case with brass inlay. A wooden case with copper alloy decorative inlays showing floral patterns and roman numerals. The back panel is removed but still present. A decorative copper alloy inlay has been snapped off the top. There is an Iron swing clasp on each side.
