- DIRECTION FOR PLACING THE OBJECT GLASSES. -- There is a notch in the edge of each glass, to prevent it from turning in the cell; there is one mark on the edge of that glass to be laid in first, and on the side to be upwards; the next glass has two marks on the side to be upwards; and the last glass has three marks on the side to be upwards; then screw the counter screw.

Description
Metal cylindrical telescope lens holder. Holder is open at one end, with three slits running down the side from the open end. Printed instructions for using the lenses, which are now missing, are pasted to the bottom of the cylinder.
