Description

Wooden fitted box. Contains 40 3¼-inch square glass lantern slides, including a sequence (A1-A27) of a trip to Tenerife (1902), and photographs of antiquities by L. J. Veley (1903 and 1905), F. A. Bellamy, and H. E. Forrest. The intended themes of section A appear to be anthropology and archaeology. One photograph labelled 'Men working a Steam-navvy at Pangbourne' shows an early mechanical excavator at work (1890).
