Description

Silver set in fishskin case, lined with velvet and decorated with silver braid. The set comprises of an ink-pot; pounce-box; three compartments with solver lids; and a silver box containing a universal horizontal compass dial with paper compass rose, and on the bottom of which is engraved a table correlating planets and metals, and a cover with a perpetual calendar. On the bottom of the silver box is engraved a piece of writing correlating the relative sizes of various heavenly bodies and of their orbits. The writing implements are missing.
