Description

Equivocal dial on wooden block, upper part hinged. Inside is a removable magnetic compass with a printed rose. The compass can be mounted on the side of the block using a wire fitting. On top is a copper alloy plate with an hour circle and pivoted circle with index arm. The metal ring which is secured to the top dial by a screw can also be stored inside the lid of the block. On one side is a metal latitude arc which can be fixed in place with a screw. A small shaped metal plaque on the front is marked J.C.
