English terrestrial globe.
c.1750-60
Plaster core, brass meridian ring divided by 2° divisions in four quadrants; paper gores printed from engraved plates and coloured by hand. Inscribed, 'A New & Correct GLOBE of the Earth By I. Senex F.R.S.'; not dated.
This globe shows the track of Anson's voyage round the world 1740-1744, which was first published in 1749.
