Description

Single straight stock with recessed slider; reverse and edges carry metric conversion scales for length. The slide rule side has four D scales. The reverse scale is a continuous scale in three rows of 51 inches (in tenths) and 129.5 cms. It is presumably these scales that were designed by or made to order for E. M. Nelson, a microscopist who was also very involved in mathematical optics.
