Description
Gelatine print mounted on card. Portrait of Alfred Nachet, head and shoulders, head turned to right; vignetted. The photograph was printed for Nachet's son to give to the RMS after his death in 1908, but shows Nachet in mid life, so was probably taken in the 1870s. Accompanied in the archive by 2 halftones taken from it.
