Small RMS envelope inscribed in old handwriting 'Photos of Diatoms | ? by Mr. Comber' [or Combes]; containing 7 photomicrographs (figures 1-7) mounted on white glazed card, of which 3 are carbon prints and 4 albumen prints. Horizontal format. Figure 1 is rectangular (photograph and image); figures 2 and 5 are cut circular; the rest are rectangular photographs with circular images surrounded by dark circular borders.
