Description
Stereoscopic albumen print (single print) mounted on pale yellow card. From the series 'Anthony's Instantaneous Views'.
Edward Anthony and his company, who had previously had a business association with Talbot, was one of the pioneers about 1859 of 'instantaneous' stereoscopic photographs of busy urban streets, commencing with a series showing lower Broadway, New York, of which this is one.
