Description
Albumen print mounted on white glazed card (cabinet format). A turned circular blackwood box, displayed with its lid partly removed. Horizontal format. Foxed. The same box is shown closed in 12753, an unidentified unmounted photograph.
One of a group of 8 such photographs (12754 to 12761), presumably made for, and showing turned objects made by, T. H. T. Hopkins (1833-1885) (compare also 12723, 12724, 12725, and 12726). Taunt had a branch studio at High Wycombe between about 1875 and 1889.
