Description
Notebook used as a scrapbook, untitled, bound in black half leather and marbled boards, 178 numbered pages numbered from the verso of the front flyleaf. Contains magazine and newspaper cuttings and trade leaflets relating to practical black-and-white photography and photographic supplies, some with dates spanning 1901 to 1908; near the end are manuscript notes on poultry keeping. There are two actual photographs, of a yacht and of Roman ruins, both probably samples of Barnet paper; a letter to Miss C. Steele from Elliott & Sons, manufacturers of Barnet plates and papers, 1905, refers to a 'test print'. The only other letter is from the photographic writer A. Horsley Hinton, undated.
