Square gilt brass box with hinged liid; nocturnal and volvelle; horizontal pin-gnomon dial and horizontal inclining dial; compass and compass rose, pivoted strut with latitude scale for using nocturnal as an equinoctial dial; table of latitudes. Leather-covered case.
