Description

Framed and glazed. An early engraved version, issued in Amsterdam, of Johann Kerseboom's famous portrait of Boyle, the head and shoulders contained in an oval frame on a pedestal. The Amsterdam engraver Pieter Schenk or Schenck seems to have been operating from about 1690 to 1730.
