Description

Two optical tubes look at a circular spring-mounted stage or platform for the specimen; a lower stage has an aperture containing an accurate measuring scale. In fitted wooden box with hook clasps, carrying handle, and maker's ivory plaque on top.

W. & J. George were owners of Becker from 1897, and changed the name to W. & J. George & Becker in 1944 (becoming Griffin & George 1954).
