Presented by H. R. Bristow in 2015. Purchased by the donor at an antiques fair in Detling, near Maidstone, Kent.
Primary inscriptions
Each instrument stamped "ELLIOTT BROS- 449 STRAND LONDON", and on other side original owner's name "E. M. BURTON." Ownership mark "E. A. BURTON." written in ink on lid of box (perhaps a later member of the same family).

Description

Fitted pine box with sliding lid. Contains two boxwood scale rules and a triangle. Each item is stamped with: "Elliott Brothers 449 Strand London".
