Description

Wooden, straight ruler from Taiwan, it is light in colour and measures 18 inches and a Canton foot. the top edge is bevelled. One edge of the ruler is divided into inches from 1 to 18 (these are again subdivided into 8ths). The other edge is marked '1 [Japanese character resembling R - presumably Shaku] in 10 divisions subdivided into 10ths - this scale is not the full length of the ruler. The back is blank apart from a paper handwritten note. There is a white label on the front of the ruler '70[symbol]' is written on it, this is possibly the price.
