Description
A turned brass arm supports the body tube and is attached to the top of the pillar by a hinge. A rack and pinion on the lower section of the body telescopes a tube on which screws the objective. The height of the stage can also be adjusted. The square cross-sectioned upper part of the pillar is graduated. The stage is held by two collars, one with a tightening screw, that slide on this section of the pillar. The lower part of the pillar is turned and stands on a flat tripod.
