Description

Stand, support and stage. A cylindrical pillar stands on a flat tripod base, a compass joint at the top of the pillar supports a tube that forms part of the limb. The tube has a mounting at the base for the mirror. The stage is mounted on the upper end of the tube. Focusing is by a rack and pinion, operated by a mill-edged knob, situated behind the stage. This moves an inner tube that that forms the upper part of the limb and arm with a collar is mounted at the top. At the upper end of the tube is a collar which has a thread for the body tube to screw into. The stage consists of two brass plates, hinged on one edge. A mill-edged screw at the other edge alters the angle of the upper plate. There are two pinholes for accessories (one holds the bull's-eye lens). There are brass spring-clips for slides on the top of the stage and a rotating disc with three apertures mounted below.
