Description

Gilt copper disc which was probably regilded at the end of the 19th Century. On one side there is a vertical disc dial (with revolving plate but no latitude scale), and on the other side a perpetual calendar and lunar volvelle. The plate with the declination scale and hour-lines has been cut from and engraved on the back of an old engraved printing plate; part of the illustration and some text are visible on the other side.
