Description
Screw-barrel microscope by Culpeper consisting of ivory compound body, stand with ball and socket at top. Original jointed arm added by Clay. Accessories include six objectives, a side-arm for objectives, two talc boxes, a glass phial, a card box containing two ivory sliders, tweezers, coil of wire to make talc retaining rings, one retaining ring and a flat metal ring. Stored inside a black fish skin covered box with metal fittings and lined with green velvet.
