Vaccination Lancets, Late 18th or Early 19th Century

Three vaccination lancets which are protected by two-piece tortoise shell covers that rotate apart to reveal the steel lancets.  There are flower decorations carved into the steel hinges.  There are some unknown markings scratched into the inside surfaces of the tortoise shell covers and there are markings inscribed in two of the lancets.
