Description
(Metal?) relief printing block mounted on wood, with a paper backing. The block was used to print the figure of Turnbull's dial on p. 107 of R.T. Gunther's Early Science in Oxford, vol. 2 (Astronomy). It was made after the manuscript drawing by Hegge from the later 1620s of the stone column dial in Corpus Christi College, Oxford created in 1581.
