Description
Islamic Mortar and Pestle, possibly dating to the 17th-18th century. There is an inscription on the exterior side of the mortar which translates as "May God have mercy and stabilize me", above and below this are lines of concentric circles. The mortar has a wider rim and base, straight sides and a flat bottom. The pestle widens at one end to a slightly convex surface. The other end show signs of damage and loss. There is a wider band slightly off centre.
