Description
A modern reconstruction of the special-purpose drawing board for use with William Halfpenny's architectural protractors (inv. 18805.1.4 and .5), as illustrated in his Magnum in Parvo (1728). The board is made of surface-laminated and edged chipboard with foamboard additions which create an L-shaped groove into which fit the two protracting instruments. The corners are labelled abcd to conform with the figure in Halfpenny's work.
