Tripod For Surveying Instrument Or Telescope

Wooden tripod with a metal fitting on the top and iron(?) plates attached to the inner faces of the leg tips. The legs have a cavity cut out of their interior faces and the legs fold together to form a circular rod. A copper alloy ring holds the three legs together.
